Frequently asked questions
How much does a new website cost?
There’s not one single answer to this question. A website design is quoted based
on the needs of each individual project. Every website is unique and requires
different components; I design and develop custom websites specifically for
your business. I will ask a lot of questions to assess your needs, and give you a quote based on that assessment. Most sites start from $300.
How long will it take to get a new website?
On average, I shoot for a one to three week turnaround, but the pace of any project is set by each client. How much input you can provide during the initial stages, your availability with feedback, how soon the content is ready – all this affects the speed of completion. The functionality needs may also play a role – more complex sites will take more time to develop.
Will I be able to update the site myself when it’s finished?
Yes! I will provide you with training on your site an no additional cost.
Will my website be mobile-friendly?
Absolutely! Having a mobile-friendlywebsite is more important than ever! I work hard to ensure your website looks great on a variety of devices.
Who writes the content for the site?
Usually that is you. You are the expert on your business, so it’s usually best if it comes from you. If you need help, I can help clean up or write original content for you at an additional cost.
Are there additonal items I will need to pay for?
Yes, To build a website you will need both a domain name and web hosting account. Buying a domain name alone only gives you right to use that particular domain name for a specific period (usually 1 year). You need web hosting to store your website's files. You can also buy both the domain and hosting from the same company.
What if I need help on my site down the
I am only a phone, text, or email away! I am here to help you as much or as little as you need, and I won’t disappear once the site is launched. Your business success is important to me and I will be here to see it succeed.
